Job Summary
The role is Civil Quality Engineer (QA/QC) for utility-scale Solar PV projects.
The position oversees quality assurance and quality control for civil and structural works.
Scope includes site grading, access roads, piling, tracker or fixed-tilt structural foundations, inverter station platforms, and main substation civil works.
Works must comply with project specifications, engineering designs, and international quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Six to ten years of dedicated QA/QC civil engineering experience.
- At least two years of experience specifically on utility-scale Solar PV projects.
Quality Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain the project-specific Quality Management System, Project Quality Plan, and Inspection and Test Plans for civil works.
- Supervise and approve piling operations, including ramming and pre-drilling.
- Conduct static, dynamic, and lateral pile load tests to verify load-bearing compliance for solar structures.
- Conduct daily field inspections of earthworks, site grading, drainage systems, internal access roads, perimeter fencing, and concrete works.
- Identify and document deficient civil works through Non-Conformance Reports and verify corrective and preventive actions.
- Review and approve Requests for Inspection, maintain QA/QC checklists, and compile final civil quality handover documentation.
