About the Role

Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain databases in SQL Server and NoSQL Server
- Perform regular database backups, restores, and disaster recovery operations
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and schemas
- Design and implement database structures and schemas to support business requirements
- Implement and manage database security measures
- Respond to and resolve database related incidents and issues
- Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and policies
Requirements
- At least 3 5 years of experience in database administration with expertise in SQL Server MSSQL, MySQL
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, CassandraDB, Oracle) is a plus
- Proven experience with database performance tuning, security management, and backup/recovery procedures
- Strong knowledge of database design, implementation, and maintenance for SQL Server
- Proficiency in SQL scripting and query optimization
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

Job Summary
- The Database Administrator Specialist will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems across SQL Server environments.
- This role involves optimizing database performance, ensuring data integrity, and implementing security measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain databases in SQL Server and NoSQL Server
- Perform regular database backups, restores, and disaster recovery operations
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and schemas
- Design and implement database structures and schemas
- Develop and maintain database scripts for data migration, import/export, and automation
- Implement and manage database security measures
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Monitor and analyze database performance metrics and resolve issues
- Optimize database configurations, queries, and indexing strategies
- Implement and manage database caching and replication strategies
- Respond to and resolve database related incidents
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation
Qualifications
- At least 3 5 years of experience in database administration with expertise in SQL Server MSSQL, MySQL
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, CassandraDB, Oracle) is a plus
- Proven experience with database performance tuning, security management, and backup/recovery procedures
- Strong knowledge of database design, implementation, and maintenance for SQL Server
- Proficiency in SQL scripting and query optimization
- Familiarity with database replication, clustering, and high availability solutions
- Relevant certifications preferred (Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, etc.)
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
