Role overview
The Data Engineer will join a data and business intelligence engineering squad supporting the Fan Intelligence Platform.
The role helps build scalable data solutions that enable sports organizations to unlock the value of their data.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test scalable Azure data platform solutions with Python, ADF, Databricks, and Function Apps.
- Develop reliable and performant data products and pipelines.
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams on high-value data-driven insights.
- Write clean, maintainable code using development frameworks and coding standards.
- Optimize data workflows, monitor performance, and implement enhancements.
Technical requirements
- Experience with data lakehouse solution design, development, and testing.
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data processing and analytics.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and managing data.
- Hands-on Azure experience is required; ADF, Databricks, and Function Apps are preferred tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Ability to follow established development frameworks and coding standards.
