About the Role
Emirates Flight Training is looking for a Data Analytics Specialist to support data capture, modeling, and testing for real-time data-driven decisions. The role involves developing dashboards with Power BI and MicroStrategy, working with data engineering teams, and ensuring data quality.

Responsibilities
- Understand requirements for tracking, measurement and reporting across assigned department
- Develop and maintain interactive Dashboards with tools like Power BI and Microstrategy to support various stakeholders with a focus of automated, dynamic self service data landscape
- First line responsibility for timely data delivery, dashboard uptime and accuracy and escalate any data quality issues
- Lead on the manipulation of existing programming logics and structures to fit changing technologies and business demands
- Work with Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) data engineering team, & Emirates Group IT, to test and validate the data ingestion results and quality to support delivery of the overall agreed plan
- Build expertise in data engineering tools via languages such as Dataiku / Python, and Data warehouses such as Snowflake, to assist analysts on ad hoc data capture into Data Warehouse
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) on data capture by ED&A into assigned department domain at the detailed level, and address data completion and quality issues
- Support the ED&A data governance team in addressing data governance requirements on assigned domain and to build data catalogues
- Support the team to enhance knowledge sharing across assigned department in understanding and utilizing the Analytics products to make data backed decisions
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Operational Research, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology etc.
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
- Experience in Administration, General administration, Data Analytics, Reporting and Dashboard Implementation
- Experience within a similar business area where there has been a strong focus on data analytics with 2 years in a supervisory role
- Experience with the implementation of initiatives that are transformational in nature
- Business Intelligence Knowledge and deep understanding of Power BI Platform and good knowledge on MicroStrategy tool
- Good understanding on Data Science, Machine Learning and AI
- Good understanding of Snowflake and SQL based data integration
- Good understanding of Microsoft suite of data collaboration and process tools like Power Apps, SharePoint
- Good understanding on Data Governance and its documentation
- Clear communication skills, written and verbal
- Experience of working in a multi cultural expatriate environment

Job Purpose
- Emirates Flight Training is a modern, progressive department that utilises Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) methodology in all our courses and is one of the few full Evidence Based Training (EBT) operators worldwide.
- Data Analytics Specialist Flight Training will facilitate and support the data capture, data modelling and testing to enable real time data driven decisions that contributes to business success.
In this role, you will:
- Understand requirements for tracking, measurement and reporting across assigned department.

Work with the ED&A Data Governance team to drive Master & Reference Data and Metadata Quality and curate quality content in the Enterprise Data Platform of the Emirates G
- Support the team to enhance knowledge sharing across assigned department in understanding and utilizing the Analytics products to make data backed decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
