About the Role
Hitachi Energy seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist with knowledge of Substation Automation Systems testing and commissioning. Requires 5-10 years experience in cybersecurity commissioning, bachelor's/master's in electrical engineering, and certifications in Nozomi, Fortinet, IEC62443.

Responsibilities
- Act as responsible commissioning engineer overseeing installation and commissioning of Substation Automation systems
- Manage completion of all commissioning activities efficiently and cost effectively in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Represent Commissioning function at project meetings and design review meetings
- Contribute to creation and implementation of project commissioning philosophy
- Manage implementation of commissioning design changes and production of as built project documentation
- Support continuous improvement via lessons learned feedback
- Support Project Managers in issuing claims
- Create work plans and proactively manage work to deliver on time, on quality, at targeted cost
- Conduct risk and opportunity assessments in real time during commissioning phase
- Act as Hitachi Energy lead for commissioning activities on a project
- Interface with customers and external providers for approval of plant acceptance criteria
- Manage external organizations providing commissioning services
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with in depth knowledge of Networking and Cybersecurity
- Certifications in Nozomi, Fortinet, IEC62443 all 4 modules
- 5 to 10 years experience as a Commissioning Engineer of CYBER SECURITY
- Experience with large and medium complex projects in operation (4 5 years) and utility approval in UAE preferable
- Thorough knowledge of Networking & Cybersecurity implementation including Malware protection, whitelisting, Firewall configuration
- Implementation of Substation automation systems and different communication protocols
- Working knowledge of GRS system on various protocols (IEC101, IEC104, IEC61850)
- Proficiency in both spoken & written Arabic and English

- Prepare project documentation for SAT and obtain approvals.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with Networking and Cybersecurity knowledge.
- Certifications: Nozomi, Fortinet, IEC62443 all 4 modules.
- 5 to 10 years experience as Commissioning Engineer of CYBER SECURITY.
- Experience with large and medium complex projects (4 5 years) and utility approval in UAE preferable.
