Who We Are

  • Colgate Palmolive is a global consumer products company operating in over 200 countries.
  • The Customer Development Manager for Discounters is responsible for commercial strategy, volume growth, and profitability within the discounter retail channel across Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Accounts Partnership: Lead negotiation and execution of long term strategic customers with key discounter accounts.
  • Commercial & P&L Management: Own the channel’s P&L, optimize trade spend, manage margins, and design cost effective promotional frameworks.
  • Supply Chain & Availability Optimization: Collaborate with Demand Planning and Logistics to maintain high case fill rates.
  • In Store Execution Excellence: Manage and coach a regional team of field supervisors and merchandisers.
  • Tailored Portfolio Strategy: Identify whitespace opportunities and introduce specific SKU mixes for the discounter format.

Business Development & Customer Relationship

  • Cascade Channel Strategy developed by General Manager in selected Accounts.
  • Build and manage relationships with key players at regional and store level.
  • Conduct negotiations on planograms, displays, promotion execution.
  • Coordinate special events with Retail Marketing Team and General Manager.
  • Maximize P&L Account by analyzing opportunities and action plans.
  • Prepare Business Reviews twice a year.

In Store Management

  • Regularly visit stores to identify areas of improvement.
  • Coach and give direction to in store staff (merchandisers).
  • Work with CDTLs and RM to develop tools and in store programs.
  • Supervise and analyze data collection for 5P performance monitoring.
  • Communicate in store objectives and monitor execution of 5P targets.
  • Resolve operational issues at regional offices or in store.

The Individual

  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's or similar degree.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of experience in Saudi Market.
  • Experience in developing Business of Selected Customers.
  • Good English & Arabic.
