About the Role

Responsibilities
- Ensure implementation of institutional policy in relation to admissions across the College
- Provide advice and information to the Senior Team on application and enrolment data
- Coordinate and monitor day to day operational processes of all prospective student applications
- Attend College and University Open Events and Exhibitions for recruiting qualified students
- Ensure timely and accurate updating of information for each stage of the admissions cycle
- Ensure consistency in recruitment and selection process in line with widening access agenda
- Support Provost in ensuring staff are informed of entry criteria and changes to admissions policies
- Establish and maintain links with admissions colleagues at other HE providers
Requirements
- Educated to a degree level
- Experience in supervising, motivating and leading a multidisciplinary team
- An understanding of university admission compliance challenges facing the Higher Education sector
- Relevant experience working within student recruitment in the Higher Education sector (desirable)
- Arabic (Preferred)
- English (Preferred)

Position purpose
- To play a central role in the development and implementation of AFG College with the University of Aberdeen’s strategy and policy on admissions.
Position accountabilities
- In collaboration with Provost and Head of Marketing, ensure implementation of institutional policy.
- Provide advice and information to the Senior Team on application and enrolment data.
- Support development of continued operational process improvement.
- Ensure agreed processes are implemented consistently.
- Coordinate and monitor day to day operational processes of all prospective student applications.
- Attend College and University Open Events and Exhibitions.
- Ensure all applications are considered fairly and without prejudice.
- Manage workflow of the department.
- Ensure timely updating of information for each stage of the admissions cycle.
- Ensure consistency in recruitment and selection process.
- Ensure all correspondence is delivered in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Support Provost in ensuring staff are informed of entry criteria.
Knowledge, skill and experience requirements
- Educated to a degree level.
- Experience in supervising, motivating and leading a multidisciplinary team.
- An understanding of university admission compliance challenges.
- Degree qualification (desirable).
- Relevant experience in student recruitment in Higher Education (desirable).
- Demonstrable experience of international recruitment campaigns (desirable).
- Membership of a relevant professional body (desirable).
- Knowledge of student admissions and compliance (desirable).
- Ability to effect change and develop processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to synthesise data.
- High degree of self motivation.
