Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Manage cost planning, estimating, budget development, and tender documentation for assigned projects.
• Use NRM, POMI, and CESMM methods of measurement in pre-contract cost management.
• Assess risks, develop contingency budgets, and identify cost-saving and value engineering opportunities.
• Prepare cost reports, investigate budget deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Validate cost data and provide cost-effective solutions using CostX software.
• Collaborate with clients, design teams, and stakeholders to align on cost strategies.
• Maintain compliance with regulations, industry practices, and client specifications.
• Support UAE-market cost benchmark development.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is required.
• At least 4 years of progressive cost management experience focused on pre-contract activities is required.
• UAE market experience is required.
• Professional membership such as MRICS is advantageous.

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in cost planning, estimating, and tender documentation using NRM, POMI, and CESMM is required.
• Proficiency with CostX measurement software is required.
• Strong analysis of complex cost and financial data is required.
• English communication, Microsoft Office, organisation, time management, risk assessment, value engineering, and cost optimisation skills are required.
• The role requires independent work, multidisciplinary collaboration, and clear presentation of cost strategies and reports.
