Role Overview
The Cost Manager will take ownership of project cost management for construction and development initiatives in Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.
The role focuses on financial accuracy, transparency, cost efficiency, and strategic value delivery while working with project teams, vendors, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and present comprehensive project cost estimates, including construction costs, fees, and ancillary expenses.
- Provide value engineering recommendations and risk assessments to clients.
- Manage vendor prequalification and bid processes, including proposal assessment, bid analysis, interviews, and recommendations.
- Maintain cost reporting schedules and prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts.
- Review payment applications, contractor entitlements, change orders, and commercial risk registers.
- Use cost estimating software, take-off software, bid analysis sheets, and change control forms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field.
- At least four years of professional experience in construction cost management.
- Experience supporting cost management on medium- to large-sized construction projects.
- Strong proficiency with cost estimating software, take-off software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of procurement routes, value management, value engineering, vendor management, bid analysis, and contract negotiation.
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and build effective project relationships.
- In-country UAE experience is required.
- RICS accreditation or active progress toward certification is valued.
- Construction consultancy experience is preferred.
