The role leads and delivers large-scale projects from planning through execution, commissioning, and handover.
The position drives performance across scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and stakeholder management within defined timelines and budgets.
The role requires leadership, technical expertise, commercial acumen, and experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
Project Planning and Execution
- Lead end-to-end project execution from project initiation to final handover.
- Develop project plans, schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies.
- Monitor progress and milestones and ensure delivery within budget and quality parameters.
- Review construction methodologies and implement project delivery best practices.
Budget and Cost Management
- Prepare and monitor project budgets and forecasts.
- Track project costs and implement effective cost control measures.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines.
- Review contractor bills, change orders, and project expenditures.
Stakeholder and Contract Management
- Manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct project review meetings and present progress updates to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.
- Evaluate variations, claims, extensions of time, and commercial risks.
Team Leadership
- Lead cross-functional engineering, procurement, planning, quality, safety, and construction teams.
- Allocate responsibilities, monitor team performance, and mentor team members.
Quality, Safety, and Risk
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Drive Health, Safety, and Environment compliance across project sites.
- Maintain project risk registers, monitor critical risks, and escalate major issues with solutions.
Reporting and Governance
- Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Monitor project KPIs and report variances.
Requirements
- Experience managing large-scale, complex projects from planning through execution, commissioning, and handover.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Technical expertise and commercial acumen relevant to project delivery.
- Ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and stakeholders within defined timelines and budgets.
