Role Overview
Cost Accountant position supporting a leading food manufacturing and industrial group in the UAE.
The role focuses on manufacturing cost analysis, cost standards, inventory evaluation, and financial insights to improve efficiency and profit margins.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle cost accounting, product costing, and variance analysis for manufacturing operations.
- Analyze direct and indirect manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.
- Maintain standard costs, bills of materials, and inventory valuation models across multiple entities.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, margin analyses, and cost-of-goods-sold reconciliations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, inefficiencies, and wastage across production processes.
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, and finance teams on workflows and budget allocations.
- Assist with audits involving cost and inventory controls.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum five years of experience specifically as a Cost Accountant.
- Food processing, FMCG, or industrial manufacturing experience is strictly required.
- Multi-entity or enterprise group experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical ability and advanced financial modeling skills are required.
- Proficiency in ERP cost modules, such as SAP or Oracle, is required.
- UAE-based candidates with local or regional experience are preferred.
Schedule and Location
- The job details state a location of Sharjah, UAE.
- The working schedule is five days per week from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
