Role overview

The Continuous Improvement Specialist reports to the CI Manager within the Finance Department.

The role leads business transformation by optimizing multifaceted cross-functional processes and advising Finance and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current-state processes and implement solutions for financial and business operations.
  • Design efficient, controlled, and scalable future-state processes.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex problems.
  • Develop business cases and executive-level presentations.
  • Build cross-functional relationships and facilitate workshops.
  • Implement change-management strategies for new processes and systems.
  • Support training, communication, and post-go-live readiness.
  • Support the CI Manager and Director across all project phases.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, project management, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.

Additional qualifications

  • Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or equivalent certification is an asset.
  • Consulting experience is an asset.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
