Role Overview
Turner & Townsend has opportunities for project management professionals to join its expanding Real Estate team in Newcastle.
Project Managers handle commissions of varying scale and value, normally up to £40 million depending on project complexity.
Advisory assignments, such as urban regeneration funding advice, may relate to larger overall projects.
Project Management Responsibilities
- Lead project management commissions and take responsibility for end-to-end service delivery.
- Act as the day-to-day client interface and ensure client objectives are met within time, cost, and quality targets.
- Advise strategically at project conception on approaches to achieve the client's overall objectives.
- Establish project success criteria covering time, cost, technical, and performance parameters.
- Plan and manage quality, safety, health, and environmental issues.
- Establish project governance, processes, and systems for the project.
- Ensure production of the detailed project plan and advise on procurement of resources.
- Lead and facilitate the cross-functional project team.
- Monitor performance and apply KPI-based techniques to improve project performance.
- Manage change control, monitor project finances, and advise on financial matters.
- Manage information flow through meetings and written communications, and ensure production of progress reports.
- Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience managing construction or refurbishment projects, ideally in a consultancy environment; this experience is essential.
- A degree in a relevant discipline is desirable.
