Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Medicine with an MBBS degree
- Post Graduate Masters degree or equivalent Fellowships approved by DOH
- Minimum of five years experience in the practice as Internal Medicine post certification
- Current DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE
- Excellent command of oral and written English

Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures responsible for hospitalized cases and certain out patients whose disease requires medical care at the specialist level
- Admission and work up of all medical patients to medical wards, ICU and CCU as required
- Day to day care for patients may be assigned to ward physicians; ultimate responsibility remains with admitting internist
- Conducts out patient medical consultations in clinics by appointment and follow up on medical problems as needed
- After working hours, when on call, available for answering medical consultations by physicians in other departments
- Will serve as a major contributor to in service training activities of new employees
- Works under general professional supervision of Head Internist
- Performs professional duties of an internist in adherence to Delineation of Privileges
- Answers in patient consultations from medical or other in patient services
- Participates in reading of EKGs; performs lung function studies and makes interpretations when needed
- Administers Executive Health Program examinations on a regular basis
- Participates in in service death review; chart, Quality Assurance and peer reviews
Qualification, Licensure, Education, Experience, Special Skills
- Graduate from an accredited school of Medicine with an MBBS degree
- Post Graduate Masters degree or equivalent Fellowships approved by DOH
- Minimum of five years experience in the practice as Internal Medicine post certification
- Current licensure in country of origin and with DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE
- Must have thorough knowledge of medical ethics
- Excellent command of oral and written English
- Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential
- Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co workers, superiors, patients & families
