About the Role

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide ongoing psychiatric care and follow up assessments
- Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, pediatricians, social workers, and educators
- Offer family counseling, psychoeducation, and support
- Participate in crisis intervention and risk assessment
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
- Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and teaching activities
- Support the development of child and adolescent mental health services
Requirements
- Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Psychiatry
- Fellowship or subspecialty training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Consultant qualification recognized under UAE PQR (e.g., American Board, Canadian Fellowship, CCT/CCST)
- Minimum of 3 years' post certification experience as a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
- Valid DOH License as Consultant Psychiatry or eligibility for licensure in Abu Dhabi
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
