Petrofac is seeking a Construction Manager for a Fabrication Yard - Substation project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves executing construction works within budget and schedule, managing subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality, and leading the construction team.

Responsibilities
- Execute construction works at site within allocated budget and schedule parameters while maintaining client satisfaction and international standards of safety and quality
- Oversee that construction areas are constructed in a safe manner and to required quality standards within agreed budget, schedule, and construction sequence
- Establish good and transparent relationship with Client’s site representative
- Ensure appropriate licenses and permissions prior to start of site preparation and mobilization
- Review Project & Construction scope, BOQs, Project execution plan and finalize construction deliverables
- Implement Construction Execution Plan, mobilization, temporary facilities, site staffing, modularization, heavy lift sequencing, fabrication scope, laydown requirements, equipment delivery sequencing, etc.
- Verify Subcontractor’s execution plan and challenge for more efficient execution
- Develop clear organization chart for construction personnel and prepare staffing histogram
- Participate in project model reviews and constructability reviews
- Conduct Kickoff meeting with subcontractor and approve all subcontractor documentation
- Contribute to 90 days & 3 weeks look ahead plans and implement work in agreed sequence
- Work to a 6 month look ahead schedule and support construction contractors by removing impediments
Requirements
- Maximum 10 Years of Experience in direct hire construction in Fabrication Yard with an international E&C company
- Maximum 15 Years of Experience in the oil & gas industry
- Relevant degree or diploma from an accredited college or university
- Experience working in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS/FSU), Middle East, and/or North Africa
- Prior experience working with a diverse international workforce
- Experience in managing Cost Reimbursable / Unit rate structured contracts
- Excellent leadership and communications skills
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- High level of commercial & cost awareness

JOB TITLE
- Manager Construction (Fabrication Yard Substation)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Executes the construction works at site within the allocated budget and schedule parameters whilst maintaining client satisfaction as well as international standards of safety and quality.
- In a small scale project, capable to act as Project Director during construction phase and liaise with Project Director for commercial issues.
- Oversee that the construction areas are constructed in a safe manner and to the required quality standards within agreed budget, schedule, and construction sequence.
- Establish a good and transparent relationship with Client’s site representative.
- Ensure that appropriate licenses, permissions prior to start of site preparation, set up infrastructure facilities and mobilization of manpower at Site.
- Review the Project & Construction scope, Construction BOQs, Project execution plan and assess the schedule and finalize the construction deliverables.
- Implements the requirements of the Construction Execution Plan, mobilization, temporary facilities, site staffing, modularization, heavy lift sequencing, fabrication scope, laydown requirements, equipment and fabricated items delivery sequencing, equipment and tool requirements, demobilization, etc.
- Verify the Subcontractor’s execution plan at an early stage and approve only if it aligns with Petrofac deliverables.
- Develops a clear organization chart for the construction personnel on site (area wise) and prepare a staffing with a histogram for all construction supervisors and trades personnel.
- Participates in project model reviews and constructability reviews.
- Conducts Kickoff meeting with subcontractor & approve all subcontractor documentation.
- Contributes to 90 days & 3 weeks look ahead plans, implements work in agreed sequence.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
