Role Overview
One&Only The Palm Resort in Dubai is seeking a Commis Waiter/Waitress for its Food and Beverage team.
The role supports the service team in delivering smooth, welcoming, and high-standard dining experiences.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
- Prepare mise-en-place before service begins.
- Assist with serving food and beverages promptly while showing genuine hospitality.
- Maintain basic menu and beverage knowledge.
- Ensure restaurant setup, cleanliness, and equipment arrangement meet resort standards.
- Support senior team members with assigned tasks.
- Report breakages or equipment issues to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
- Attend team briefings, meetings, and required training.
- Maintain effective communication, teamwork, hygiene, and professional presentation.
- Support energy and water conservation practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Have 6 months to 1 year of experience in a quality hotel, resort, or restaurant environment.
- Have basic food and beverage knowledge.
- Have strong personal presentation and good interpersonal skills.
- Be able to engage politely with a diverse range of guests.
- Demonstrate a supportive team-player attitude and commitment to high service standards.
- Communicate well in English.
- Knowledge of an additional language is advantageous.
