Position Information

Food Preparation and Cooking

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing them.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
• Prepare cold foods and serve food in proper portions using the appropriate receptacles.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test food for doneness and monitor food quality during preparation.
• Set up and break down the work station.

Kitchen Hygiene and Safety

• Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Check and ensure the correct temperature of appliances and food.
• Follow company, safety, and security policies and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.

Professional Standards

• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Protect confidential company information and assets.
• Communicate clearly and professionally and maintain positive working relationships.
• Support team goals, respond appropriately to employee concerns, and meet quality expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required or preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
