- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and grinding spices, following standardized recipes with precision
- Support the cooking of dishes under the supervision of Chef de Partie and senior chefs
- Maintain strict adherence to portion control and standardized recipes to ensure consistency
- Uphold the highest hygiene and cleanliness standards in accordance with HACCP protocols
- Properly store, label, and rotate food items using FIFO method to minimize waste
- Assist senior chefs during service, responding efficiently to kitchen demands
- Inspect and assess the quality and freshness of ingredients, reporting concerns
- Handle kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
- Maintain presentation standards for all dishes
- Support buffet setups and live kitchen operations
- Adhere to all grooming, discipline, and professional conduct standards

Role Overview
- We're looking for a detail oriented and collaborative Commis II to join our dynamic team at Novotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha.
- In this role, you'll work alongside experienced chefs in a fast paced, professional kitchen environment.
- Support the preparation and execution of high quality dishes while maintaining exceptional standards.
- As a Commis II, you'll be instrumental in ensuring smooth kitchen operations, contributing to culinary excellence and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and grinding spices, following standardized recipes with precision.
- Support the cooking of dishes under the supervision of Chef de Partie and senior chefs, demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow.
- Maintain strict adherence to portion control and standardized recipes to ensure consistency across all dishes.
- Uphold the highest hygiene and cleanliness standards in accordance with HACCP protocols and local food safety regulations.
- Properly store, label, and rotate food items using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Assist senior chefs during service, responding efficiently to kitchen demands in a collaborative and supportive manner.
