Overview

  • We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail oriented Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
  • In this role, you'll work alongside our Executive Chef and kitchen leadership to support food preparation, maintain exceptional quality standards, and help lead kitchen operations during service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and directing food preparation activities while supervising junior kitchen staff and supporting their professional development
  • Properly measure, portion, and prepare all food items according to established specifications, quality standards, and departmental procedures
  • Cook all menu items to proper specifications in a timely manner, ensuring consistency and excellence with every plate
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, pots, pans, steamers, grills, and ovens
  • Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained, food is stored correctly, and all items meet freshness and quality standards
  • Support menu planning initiatives and contribute innovative ideas to enhance culinary offerings
  • Assist with inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control while maintaining organizational efficiency
  • Maintain a clean, organized, sanitized, and well stocked workstation and kitchen equipment at all times
  • Uphold and enforce all health codes, sanitation regulations, and food safety protocols to ensure a safe kitchen environment
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to established guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to coordinate service and resolve challenges quickly and decisively
  • Support staff scheduling and provide constructive feedback when necessary, fostering a supportive and inclusive team culture
