Job Overview
- We are seeking a detail oriented and organized Commis I Asian Cuisine to join our culinary team in Novotel Dubai Al Barsha.
- You will work alongside experienced chefs to prepare and present authentic Asian dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety.
- This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a fast paced, professional kitchen environment while contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients for Asian cuisine dishes according to standardized recipes and chef specifications.
- Assist senior chefs in the preparation, cooking, and plating of Asian dishes with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation, adhering to all food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including woks, steamers, fryers, and other specialized Asian cooking tools.
- Support the kitchen team in executing daily meal services while managing time effectively during peak hours.
- Follow all food handling procedures and comply with UAE food safety regulations and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and proper storage of ingredients.
- Continuously learn and develop Asian culinary techniques under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
- Perform additional kitchen duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen management.
