Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items within the hot kitchen section
- Prepare ingredients and maintain proper mise en place before service
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas
- Monitor and follow proper food storage, labeling, and stock rotation procedures
- Support senior chefs during food preparation and service operations
- Assist with inventory control, stock checks, and receiving deliveries
- Adhere to all company policies related to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety
- Contribute to minimizing food wastage and maintaining cost control measures
Requirements
- Certificate or training in culinary arts is an advantage
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment is preferred
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Position Overview
