The Commis Chef assists the head chef with preparation and service across all kitchen sections.
The role supports motivated kitchen operations, consistent standards, and high-quality guest care.
Responsibilities
- Practice basic food hygiene according to company guidelines and the Daily Diligence Diary.
- Communicate stock levels, working practices, and quality-control information to relevant team members.
- Maintain food preparation and food levels according to quality and quantity standards.
- Control food storage, minimize spoilage and wastage, and apply portion control.
- Follow standard operating procedures and work according to set recipes.
Requirements
- Ideally, have a hotel or food and beverage background and at least two years as a Commis Chef in a three-star or higher hotel.
- A Culinary Arts degree is advantageous.
- Advanced English language skills are required.

- Experience working with a multicultural team.
- Positive, enthusiastic, and passionate approach to culinary work.
- Responsible and proactive approach with good judgment.
- Ability to work under pressure while remaining efficient, calm, organized, and attentive to detail.
