Job Summary
The Commis Chef works under the guidance of the senior culinary team in a fast-paced, health-focused kitchen.
The role includes ingredient preparation, cooking assistance, kitchen hygiene, inventory support, and culinary development.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vegetables, fruits, meats, and other proteins by washing, peeling, chopping, and completing other preparation tasks.
- Assist senior chefs with cooking and assembling dishes according to health-focused recipes and standards.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization so areas meet health and safety regulations.
- Assist with receiving deliveries, checking quality and accuracy, and storing ingredients properly.
- Continue developing culinary skills through guidance from senior chefs and available training opportunities.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required; culinary students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
