About The Ned Doha
The Ned Doha is a luxury destination in a former Ministry of Interior building with seven dining concepts, 90 bedrooms, event spaces, and Ned’s Club.
Ned’s Club includes a rooftop terrace, spa, gym, and a 30-metre outdoor pool.
The role
The Commis 1 supports the kitchen team by preparing and cooking dishes consistently and carefully.
The role contributes to service and the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
What you will be doing
- Assist with preparing and cooking dishes to high standards of quality and presentation.
- Support the kitchen team during service and contribute to smooth restaurant operations.
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, pasta, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Work with senior chefs to improve culinary skills and knowledge.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef in luxury hospitality.
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
- Passion for food, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop within a professional kitchen.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and a proactive approach.
- Basic understanding of food safety and HACCP standards.
