The position is full time and non-management.
Location: Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Culinary responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods.
- Regulate ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Thaw frozen food in the refrigerator and ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnishing.
- Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
- Inform the Chef about excess food and service staff about menu specials and unavailable items.
Team and guest service
- Communicate assistance needed during busy periods.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of employees.
- Anticipate and address guest service needs.
- Use clear, professional language and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
