Role Overview
Tuwaiq Casting & Forging is seeking a commercially astute and results-driven Commercial Operations Manager.
The role leads commercial activities covering contract execution, proposal development, and customer relationship management.
The position requires commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
Commercial and Contract Activities
- Lead review, negotiation, and finalization of customer terms and conditions.
- Coordinate with legal and internal stakeholders to mitigate risk and ensure contractual compliance.
- Oversee cost sheets and commercial offers in line with pricing strategy and margin expectations.
- Ensure timely and accurate proposal submissions for RFQs and tender invitations.
Process and Order Management
- Maintain and enforce the internal tollgate process before commercial submission or execution.
- Drive commercial process efficiency and improve stage-gate compliance.
- Monitor customer orders through production follow-up and delivery.
- Provide order status updates and resolve bottlenecks with operations and planning teams.
Collaboration and Performance
- Build cross-functional collaboration with sales, planning, finance, and engineering teams.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance commercial effectiveness.
- Develop reports and KPIs to track commercial performance and identify improvement areas.
- Lead and develop a high-performing commercial team.
Education and Experience
- Hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
- Have at least 7 years of relevant experience in commercial management, sales operations, or contract administration.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or energy sectors is preferred.
- Have a proven track record reviewing and negotiating customer terms and conditions.
- Have demonstrated experience preparing cost sheets and commercial proposals.
- Have experience working with cross-functional teams across sales, finance, planning, and operations.
Technical Competencies
- Understand pricing models, cost structures, and proposal processes.
- Know the order lifecycle from purchase order issuance through production and delivery.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Professional training or certification in contract management, commercial negotiation, or project management is advantageous.
