Role Overview
The company is seeking a technically skilled CMM Quality Inspector for the Machining Shop within the Operations Division.
The role performs dimensional inspection of manufactured components using CMM equipment and verifies compliance with drawings, CAD models, and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CMM equipment for first-article, in-process, and final inspections.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and CAD data.
- Use micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and bore gauges for dimensional verification.
- Record and analyze inspection results against company quality standards.
- Create and edit Mullen CMM inspection programs using Inca3D.
- Load parts and fixtures with correct alignment and clamping.
- Calibrate CMM equipment and maintain machine accuracy.
- Generate inspection reports and maintain quality records.
- Document deviations, non-conformances, and defects.
- Communicate results to production and engineering teams for corrective action.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, API, and other relevant standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- CMM Inspector certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5–7 years of dimensional inspection experience using CMM equipment.
- Experience inspecting large components and API 6A and API 5B products.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T.
- Hands-on experience with Mullen CMM equipment and Inca3D programming software.
- Proficiency with technical drawings and CAD models.
- Familiarity with ISO and API quality standards.
