A prominent Government of Dubai entity is seeking a Chief Internal Auditor to lead audit and compliance activities. The role involves performing risk assessments, developing audit plans, conducting audits across financial, operational, legal, and technical areas, and delivering independent reports.

Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessment interviews with department managers (technical and non technical).
- Contribute to the preparation of the strategic and annual internal audit plan based on risk assessment results.
- Perform audit tasks across financial, operational, legal, and technical areas with due professional care.
- Ensure the quality of internal auditors' work.
- Develop risk based audit programs.
- Perform special assignments such as investigations, advisory services, and independent reviews (fraud, risk management, etc).
- Prepare draft reports for quality assurance.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance processes, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
- Maintain proper audit documentation and records.
- Report conflicts of interest.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within government or semi government organizations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Risk Management, Finance, or equivalent
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CMA, or CFE
- Strong skills in internal audit standards and best practices
- Must have a UAE family book
