Role Overview

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Partner with the Board to define and execute the Group’s long-term financial strategy.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across the holding company and subsidiaries.
• Drive capital allocation decisions and advise on M&A, joint ventures, divestitures, and other corporate transactions.

Financial Operations and Controls

• Oversee reporting, consolidation, and disclosure requirements in compliance with IFRS.
• Maintain internal controls, financial accuracy, and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
• Lead treasury management, liquidity planning, cash flow optimization, banking relationships, and financing arrangements.

Investor Relations and Governance

• Act as liaison with investors, lenders, rating agencies, regulatory bodies, and UAE government stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with UAE corporate governance standards and international best practices.
• Lead external auditor relationships and present financial performance and strategy to the Board.

Team Leadership

• Build and develop a multi-jurisdictional finance function covering accounting, tax, treasury, FP&A, and internal audit.
• Drive financial discipline, accountability, continuous improvement, succession planning, and talent development.
• Champion ERP upgrades and modernization of financial systems.

Education and Credentials

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
• CA, CPA, CFA, or ACCA professional qualification is required.
• An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.

Experience

• At least 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 5 years in a C-suite or equivalent executive financial role.
• Experience in a diversified conglomerate, holding company, or multi-business group is required.
• UAE or GCC regulatory, tax, and compliance experience is required, including VAT, Corporate Tax, DIFC, or ADGM frameworks.
• Experience with complex M&A, capital markets, cross-border financing, and multi-billion AED balance sheets is required.
• Publicly listed entity or sovereign investment vehicle exposure is advantageous.

Core Competencies

• Strategic thinking, financial modeling, valuation, scenario analysis, executive presence, and stakeholder communication are required.
• The role requires leadership of high-performing finance teams, integrity, financial transparency, and strong corporate governance.
• English communication is required, while Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
