- Use principles of aseptic technique and follow Universal Precautions to prevent Hospital Acquired Infections
- Ensure instrumentation and equipment is in proper working order
- Perform biological, chemical, and quality assurance testing
- Report problems to supervisor or designate
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program
- HSPA or CSA certification
- Experience with professional knowledge, technical and interpersonal skills in a professional setting
- Ability to handle heavy or awkward items and withstand considerable walking or standing
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Ability to work effectively with others and accept change

Your Opportunity
- Grande Prairie offers a mix of farmland, boreal forest, and access to the Canadian Rockies.
- New regional hospital expanding services in urology, orthopedics, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, and oncoplastics.
- Remote Retention Allowance up to $3,000 annually (non pensionable, hourly basis).
Description
- Responsible for decontamination, reassembly, and sterilization of hospital supplies, equipment, and surgical instrumentation.
- Use aseptic technique and Universal Precautions to prevent Hospital Acquired Infections.
- Ensure instrumentation and equipment is in proper working order.
- Perform biological, chemical, and quality assurance testing.
- Report problems to supervisor or designate.
Schedule
- FTE: 1.00 (Regular Full Time)
- Hours per shift: 7.75
- Shift pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, On Call
- Days off: As per rotation
Salary
- Minimum salary: $25.70 per hour
- Maximum salary: $29.28 per hour
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program.
- HSPA or CSA certification.

- Experience with professional knowledge, technical and interpersonal skills, and critical thinking in a professional setting.
- Ability to handle heavy or awkward items (lifting, transferring, carrying) and withstand considerable walking or standing.
- Adherence to policy and practice standards.

- Ability to identify own strengths and weaknesses and show initiative for improvement.
- Ability to work effectively with others and accept change.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent GPRH MDR experience preferred.
- At least two years experience in a hospital setting MDR preferred.
