Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present high quality healthy dishes within your section.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared according to nutritional guidelines and dietary requirements (e.g., gluten free, vegan, low carb, keto, etc.).
  • Assist in menu development for health focused offerings, including calorie conscious and allergen friendly options.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation in line with food safety standards.
  • Manage inventory and ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients, particularly produce and health based items.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in healthy cooking techniques and portion control.
  • Monitor food waste and contribute to sustainable kitchen practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role, preferably in a health focused or wellness oriented kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary trends, and modern healthy cooking techniques.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and food safety.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with plant based cuisine, superfoods, and alternative cooking methods (e.g., air frying, steaming).
  • Familiarity with calorie and macro tracking software/tools.
  • Ability to adapt traditional recipes to healthier versions without compromising on taste.
