About the Role
Talabat (part of Delivery Hero) is seeking a Category Manager for Non Food in Qatar to own assortment, pricing, offers, and supply for the tMart cloud store concept. Responsibilities
- Full ownership over category management including assortments, pricing, offers, and supply
- Monitor economic performance of assigned departments/categories across sales, gross margin, profit and loss
- Ensure proper implementation of commercial strategy and strategic guidelines
- Provide input to Ops team on flows, adjacencies, tools, templates, fixtures
- Review and resolve issues with local suppliers
- Define and maintain local assortment and integrate basic assortment for department/categories
- Select local suppliers, negotiate and purchase in line with expected needs
- Price items based on pricing guidelines and recommended prices
- Identify local promo products, price each item, and submit forecasting/reordering information
- Develop country promotion calendar and follow up on execution
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in progressive development and management of multiple product categories in large retail (FMCG) in an international setting
- Experience building teams and leading cross functional projects at scale
- Detail oriented, structured, and able to prioritize
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Fluent English and Arabic highly advantageous

Role Summary
- We are looking for a Category Manager Non Food to join the team in Qatar and focus on growing our own Grocery Store 'tMart'
What’s On Your Plate?
- Full Ownership over the category management role in terms of Assortments, Pricing, Offers and Supply
- Responsible for monitoring economic performance of the assigned departments /categories across sales, gross margin, profit and loss
- Ensuring proper implementation of the commercial strategy and strategic guidelines
- Providing input to the Ops team flows, adjacencies, tools and templates, fixtures, etc.
- Reviewing and resolving any issues with local suppliers
- Defining and maintaining the local assortment and integrating the basic assortment for the department/categories
- Selecting local suppliers, negotiating and purchasing in line with expected needs
- Pricing the items based on pricing guidelines and recommended prices for PL/Imported items
- Collecting market prices and conducting country price audits
- Identifying local promo products and pricing each item and submitting forecasting/relevant reordering information
- Developing the country promotion calendar
- Following up and ensuring effective execution of all activities required for each promotional event
What Did We Order?
- You have at least 5+ years of experience in progressive development and management of multiple product categories, matured by working for large retailers (FMCG), in an international setting
- You have built teams and led cross functional projects at scale
- You are very detail oriented, structured and know how to prioritize
- You are willing to do anything necessary for the project to succeed
- You are able to interact with senior level executives and manage expectations of multiple stakeholders
- You have excellent analytical and communication skills
- You have robust interpersonal and intercultural skills
- Language skills: Fluent English and Arabic would be highly advantageous
