About the Role
Square Yards is seeking a Category & Merchandising Manager to build a competitive product ecosystem for interior fit-out projects. The role involves brand sourcing, supplier management, margin growth, and merchandising at the experience centre.

Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard brands, distributors, and retailers to build a wide and diversified product portfolio across categories including furniture, lighting, sanitaryware, flooring, tiles, finishes, fixtures, and décor
- Continuously expand brand breadth to ensure customers and designers have access to a comprehensive and competitive product range
- Build and maintain a high performance supplier base aligned with business growth plans
- Ensure consistent stock availability across key product categories to support uninterrupted project execution and customer selection
- Monitor lead times, supply reliability, and inventory levels to prevent stockouts and delays
- Work closely with suppliers and project teams to align supply with demand and project timelines
- Drive strong and sustainable margin growth across categories through effective sourcing, negotiation, and pricing strategy
- Support commercial negotiations, rate benchmarking, and cost rationalization initiatives
- Monitor category KPIs across margin, sell through, and supplier responsiveness, and drive corrective action on underperformance
- Ensure strong merchandising at the experience centre, presenting products in a way that drives customer engagement and conversion
- Ensure availability and upkeep of sample boards and material samples for designers to support project specification and customer presentations
- Continuously refresh displays and samples in line with new brands, ranges, and seasonal trends
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business / Interior Design / Architecture / related field
- 2–4 years of experience in Category Management, Merchandising, or Procurement within retail, interior design, fit out, or furniture environments
- Strong exposure to brand and supplier management and product curation for customer facing projects
- UAE experience preferred

- The ideal candidate understands product sourcing, brand partnerships, and merchandising within the interior fit out space and can balance supplier relationships with commercial discipline and performance control.

Educational Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business / Interior Design / Architecture / related field (mandatory).
- 2–4 years of experience in Category Management, Merchandising, or Procurement within retail, interior design, fit out, or furniture environments.
- Strong exposure to brand and supplier management and product curation for customer facing projects.
- UAE experience preferred.
Pay
- AED4,000.00 AED4,500.00 per month
