Responsibilities
- Full ownership over category management: assortments, pricing, offers, and supply
- Monitor economic performance of assigned categories across sales, gross margin, and P&L
- Ensure implementation of commercial strategy and pricing strategy
- Define and maintain local assortment, integrating basic assortment for the department
- Select local suppliers, negotiate and purchase in line with expected needs
- Price items based on pricing guidelines and conduct market price audits
- Identify local promo products, develop country promotion calendar, and ensure execution
Requirements
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in Fresh Fruit & Vegetables within the Qatar retail market
- Proven track record of managing multiple product categories in a large retail or FMCG environment
- Demonstrated ability to drive category growth through assortment optimization and seasonal planning
- Strong capability to analyze market trends, customer buying behavior, and competitor activities
- Experience in monitoring supplier performance and negotiating with local suppliers
- Fluent English and Arabic highly advantageous

Role Summary
- We are looking for a Category Manager F&V to join the team in Qatar and focus on growing our own Grocery Store 'tMart', the region’s first cloud store concept offering 30 minute delivery of groceries.
What’s On Your Plate?
- Full Ownership over category management: Assortments, Pricing, Offers and Supply.
- Monitor economic performance of assigned departments/categories across sales, gross margin, profit and loss.
- Ensure implementation of commercial strategy and strategic guidelines.
- Provide input to Ops team flows, adjacencies, tools and templates.
- Review and resolve issues with local suppliers.
- Define and maintain local assortment, integrating basic assortment.
- Select local suppliers, negotiate and purchase.
- Price items based on pricing guidelines and conduct country price audits.
- Identify local promo products, develop country promotion calendar, and ensure execution.
What Did We Order?
