Role overview
Provide a fresh, friendly, and welcoming shopping experience as part of the Farm Boy front-of-store team.
Connect with shoppers, support daily store operations, and ensure smooth checkout interactions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver warm and engaging customer service using Farm Boy Service Standards.
- Welcome customers, process purchases, scan items, bag orders, and collect tenders accurately.
- Answer product questions, share product knowledge, and apply product codes accurately.
- Handle cash and tender transactions, balance tills, and maintain payment accuracy.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls as needed.
- Safely handle and sell alcohol at applicable locations.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work, storage, and front-of-store areas, including retrieving carts.
- Follow corporate, health and safety, food safety, and equipment-use procedures.
- Support the team with additional periodic duties.
Candidate requirements
- Retail experience is an asset; an equivalent combination of education and experience is also considered.
- For locations selling alcohol, candidates must be at least 18 and hold Smart Serve certification or be willing to obtain it.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and pride in quality and cleanliness.
