Responsible for handling customer transactions, processing payments, operating the POS system, and maintaining accurate cash records while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and receive orders professionally.
- Enter customer orders accurately into the POS system.
- Process cash, card, and other approved payment methods.
- Issue receipts and handle change accurately.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances.
- Assist with opening and closing cash procedures.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff regarding customer orders.
- Handle customer inquiries regarding prices, orders, and payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter.
- Report discrepancies or payment issues to the Manager.
- Follow company cash-handling and security procedures.
Requirements
- Previous cashier/POS experience in a café, restaurant, or retail environment preferred.
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge.
- Good numerical and communication skills.
- Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Good customer-service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Food Handling Certificate – MANDATORY.
