Qatar Airways is recruiting a Cargo Operations Manager based at London Heathrow.
The role is responsible for smooth cargo operations across the UK&I region through coordination with ground handling agents, service providers, and station staff.
The position focuses on regulatory compliance, cost control, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.
Accountabilities
- Coordinate and negotiate with ground handling agents, local service providers, and station staff across the region.
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures with ground handling agents.
- Manage provider KPIs and service level agreements to meet required service levels.
- Manage regional ground handling activities safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
- Minimise discrepancies and non-conformances to reduce claims and penalties.
- Manage safety, security, and operational compliance matters.
- Liaise with government and customs authorities regarding permissions and regulatory issues.
- Maintain aircraft on-time performance and prevent ground-operation delays.
- Evaluate industry practices and identify improvements for the operation.
- Support RFP activity with headquarters, contracts, and procurement.
Qualifications
- High school, vocational qualification, diploma, or equivalent with a minimum of five years of job-related experience.
- Strong experience in airfreight sales management.
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Commercial acumen and ability to identify market and industry trends.
- Candidates must have legal rights to live and work in the United Kingdom.
