About the role

Key responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one educational and developmental support.
• Assist with communication, social interaction, and daily living skills.
• Plan structured learning, sensory, and recreational activities.
• Create a calm environment that promotes confidence and emotional well-being.
• Encourage independence and assist with daily routines.
• Support emotional regulation using appropriate techniques.
• Use gentle relaxation or massage techniques when experienced.
• Supervise and participate in swimming activities when appropriate.
• Coordinate care with the family and household support staff.
• Maintain regular progress updates and observations.

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder is required, preferably with nonverbal adolescents or young adults.
• A qualification in Special Education, Psychology, ABA Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Caregiving, or a related field is preferred.
• Patience, compassion, emotional maturity, and genuine commitment to autism support are required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• The candidate must be comfortable working in a private household.
• Ability to swim is preferred.
• Knowledge of gentle massage or relaxation techniques is advantageous.
• Willingness to commit to a long-term live-in position is required.
• Fluency in Tagalog is mandatory.

Working schedule

• The role requires six working days per week.
• The schedule is eight to nine hours per day.
• The position includes one day off per week.
• The position is live-in.

Salary and benefits

• Salary is AED 6,000 per month.
• Free accommodation and meals are provided.
• Transportation is provided by the family driver.
• Additional household support includes an assistant caregiver.

Workplace

• The role is based in a private household in Umm Al Quwain, UAE.
• The successful candidate will live in the household while providing care.
