About the Role

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise all duties for the opening and closing brigade
- Assist the assistant manager in planning according to reservations and special events
- Check the condition, cleanliness and proper functioning of all operating equipment and furniture
- Assist in the training of waiter/waitress and junior waiters
- Ensure correct and complete set up of the restaurant section
- Welcome guests and assist in seating
- Present menus and beverage list with recommendations to increase average check
- Take food and beverage orders and ensure speedy service
- Ensure each table is correctly set up as per order requirements
- Participate in service of food and beverage items especially during rush hours
- Check and follow up on billing and checking procedures
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
Requirements
- Previous experience in the same role in a luxury hotel is preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Senior School qualification or equivalent will be an advantage
- Proficiency in the Italian language is preferred

About The Job
- Based at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Food & Beverage Department, the Captain is responsible for ensuring that their section of the restaurant is operated smoothly and that guests are served food and beverage according to the standards of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental,
Key Responsibilities

We Expect From You
- Previous experience in the same role in a luxury hotel is preferred, resort experience will be a plus.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Senior School qualification or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in the Italian language is preferred.
