About The Role
The Business Unit Director – Paints & Coatings is responsible for the overall growth, profitability, and operational performance of the Paints business unit.
The role will lead business development, sales growth, project acquisition, distribution expansion, and operational excellence while ensuring the business unit achieves its strategic and financial objectives.
The primary focus of this role is to create value for the company by driving sustainable revenue growth, increasing market share, expanding customer relationships, and delivering profitable business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the business unit's strategy, growth plans, and annual business objectives.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion across retail, distribution, and project sales channels.
- Identify and secure new clients, projects, distributors, dealers, and strategic partnerships.
- Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, architects, and key decision-makers.
- Lead and manage sales, operations, supply chain, and customer service functions within the business unit.
- Monitor budgets, profitability, KPIs, and overall business performance.
- Ensure effective product positioning, pricing strategies, and market competitiveness.
- Recruit, lead, and develop high-performing teams to achieve business targets.
- Identify new products, market opportunities, and growth initiatives.
- Report business performance and strategic initiatives to Sendian Group Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA is preferred.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in Paints, Coatings, Building Materials, Construction Chemicals, or related industries.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership position managing profit and loss (P&L).
- Proven track record in revenue generation, business development, and market expansion.
- Strong network within the construction, contracting, consulting, and building materials sectors.
- GCC market experience is mandatory.
- Strong leadership, commercial, negotiation, and operational management skills.
