About the Role

- Manage and optimise the organisation’s corporate insurance portfolio across multiple lines of coverage
- Manage insurance policies and renewal cycles, ensuring appropriate coverage is maintained and aligned with business requirements
- Review policy terms, conditions, limits, and coverage requirements to identify risks and potential coverage gaps
- Oversee insurance claims practices, including the management and resolution of complex and high value claims
- Negotiate policy requirements, terms, and insurance placements with brokers, insurers, and external partners
- Work with global insurance vendors and partners to ensure effective service delivery and appropriate insurance protection
- Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on insurance requirements, coverage implications, and risk transfer solutions
- Support business units in assessing risks and ensuring the appropriate insurance coverage is in place
- Monitor insurance costs and identify opportunities to optimise premiums and improve cost efficiency
- Maintain strong governance, compliance, reporting, and documentation across the insurance portfolio
- Analyse insurance and claims data to identify trends, improve processes, and support management decision making
- Prepare and deliver presentations and insurance related updates to senior stakeholders and management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline
- 8–10 years of experience in corporate insurance, insurance management, claims management, or a related role
- Professional insurance certifications such as CPCU, ARM, FCII, CIRM, ACII, or equivalent highly preferred
- Strong experience in insurance policy management, including policy structures, renewals, terms, conditions, and coverage requirements
- Proven experience in claims practices and the management of complex or high value insurance claims
- Experience managing a broad range of insurance lines (aviation, property, infrastructure, liability, employee benefits, construction, cyber, business interruption, terrorism, etc.)
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Strong analytical and commercial capability

Role Overview
- We are looking to hire an Insurance Manager who will be responsible for managing and optimising the corporate insurance portfolio for our client based in Dubai, which is one of the largest semi government companies in the region.
- This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months and is renewable.
- The role sits within a small specialist insurance team and will report to senior members of the department.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

- Professional insurance certifications such as CPCU, ARM, FCII, CIRM, ACII, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Strong experience in insurance policy management, including policy structures, renewals, terms, conditions, and coverage requirements.
- Proven experience in claims practices and the management of complex or high value insurance claims.
- Experience managing a broad range of insurance lines, which may include aviation, property, infrastructure, liability, employee benefits, construction, cyber, business interruption, terrorism, and other specialist risks.
- Previous experience within aviation, banking, large corporate organisations, infrastructure, transportation, utilities, or insurance brokerage environments is highly preferred.
- UAE experience is not essential; experience working with international insurers, brokers, or global vendors is highly valued.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Strong management and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and commercial capability with the ability to interpret insurance and claims information.
