Business Development Manager - Switchgear

Role Purpose

Key Accountabilities

• Develop business development strategies to increase market share and revenue across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and MENA.
• Identify opportunities and maintain relationships with utilities, EPC contractors, consultants, and industrial clients.
• Promote LV/MV/HV switchgear, RMUs, ATS, panel boards, and electrical distribution products.
• Build relationships with consultants, contractors, and government entities including ADNOC, DEWA, SEWA, TAQA, Qatar Petroleum, Aramco, and water departments.
• Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and commercial negotiations.
• Generate opportunities through industry events and exhibitions such as Middle East Energy, ADIPEC, and The Big 5 Global.
• Advise clients on product suitability using IEC, ANSI, and BS standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams on customer-focused solutions.
• Review utility and EPC tender documents and prepare competitive bids.
• Monitor competitors, pricing strategies, and GCC market trends and recommend pricing approaches.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience in the switchgear or electrical industry within the GCC.
• Strong understanding of switchgear systems, electrical distribution networks, and relevant industry standards.
• Established network with utilities, EPC contractors, consultants, and industrial clients.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel across the GCC region.
