About the Role

  • Elmech Energy is expanding North Africa coverage and looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to lead market engagement across the region.
  • The role is responsible for identifying opportunities, building relationships with operators and EPCs, and growing Elmech Energy's footprint in target markets.
  • This is a senior commercial role for a seasoned sales executive with regional energy and industrial landscape knowledge, able to operate independently with executive support from HQ.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the regional business development plan in alignment with company strategy.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities across hydrocarbons, power, water, and industrial infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with operators, EPCs, engineering consultants, and key project decision makers.
  • Track tender pipelines, prequalification cycles, and project sanction calendars across target markets.
  • Coordinate technical and commercial proposals with HQ.
  • Represent the company at regional industry events, exhibitions, and customer engagements.
  • Provide regular market intelligence — competitor activity, pricing trends, regulatory shifts, project movements.
  • Support vendor registration and prequalification processes with major operators.
  • Maintain a disciplined CRM record of all customer activity, opportunities, and intelligence.

Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years' experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles in the energy or industrial supply sector exclusively in North Africa.
  • Strong existing network across North African operators, EPCs, and engineering houses.
  • Demonstrated track record of building customer relationships and growing revenue in technical B2B environments.
  • Solid understanding of piping, valves, flanges, and fittings — or comparable industrial products.
  • Experience with prequalification processes of major regional operators is highly desirable.
  • Comfortable working independently with remote executive support.
  • Fluent in Arabic, French, and English.
