Job Description

Business Analysis and Requirements

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate requirements from stakeholders.
• Conduct workshops, interviews, and requirements elicitation sessions.
• Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flows.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Perform impact analysis and maintain traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

Insurance Domain

• Analyze policy administration, claims management, underwriting, billing and payments, renewals, endorsements, and insurance product configuration.
• Improve operational efficiency with business users.
• Support regulatory and compliance initiatives affecting insurance products and processes.
• Understand P&C, Life, Health, or Commercial Insurance processes.

Data Analysis and PL/SQL

• Write complex SQL queries for analysis, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and business insights.
• Review stored procedures, packages, triggers, and functions with database teams.
• Validate data migration and transformation activities.
• Support UAT and production investigations using Oracle Database and PL/SQL.

Application and Testing

• Collaborate with teams developing Java-based applications and participate in solution design discussions.
• Review technical designs for alignment with business requirements.
• Create and review test scenarios and test cases.
• Support SIT, UAT, and regression testing, including requirement validation and defect triage.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as liaison between business users and technical teams.
• Conduct status meetings and requirements walkthroughs.
• Present findings, recommendations, and business cases to senior stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and address business concerns proactively.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of Business Analyst experience and 3–5 years of insurance industry experience.
• Experience with large-scale application development or enhancement projects.
• Experience in Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Strong insurance domain knowledge covering policy, claims, underwriting, product lifecycle, billing, and compliance.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL expertise.
• Knowledge of database procedures, packages, triggers, views, Java/J2EE applications, REST APIs, integrations, data mapping, and data analysis.
• Experience with SQL Server Database, SQL Developer or TOAD, and JIRA.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA, or EJB is listed as a framework option.

Compensation

• The posted base compensation range is 90,000 to 100,000.
• Additional variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions may apply depending on the position and applicable laws.
