Role Overview
Capgemini is hiring a Business Analyst focused on the insurance domain.
The role is based in Toronto, Ontario.
The position requires 6 or more years of experience and is full-time permanent.
Business Analysis and Requirements
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and requirement elicitation sessions.
- Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flows.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Perform impact analysis and maintain requirement traceability through the project lifecycle.
Insurance Domain
- Analyze policy administration, claims management, underwriting, billing, payments, renewals, endorsements, and product configuration processes.
- Work with business users to improve operational efficiency.
- Support regulatory and compliance initiatives affecting insurance products and processes.
- Understand P&C, Life, Health, or Commercial Insurance business processes.
Data Analysis and PL/SQL
- Write complex SQL queries for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and business insights.
- Review stored procedures, packages, triggers, and functions with database teams.
- Validate data migration and transformation activities.
- Support UAT and production issue investigations using Oracle Database and PL/SQL.
Technical Collaboration
- Collaborate with teams working on Java-based applications and understand application architecture and integration points.
- Participate in solution design discussions and provide functional inputs.
- Review technical designs for alignment with business requirements.
- Coordinate with developers, architects, QA teams, and project managers.
Testing and Stakeholders
- Create and review test scenarios and test cases.
- Support SIT, UAT, and regression testing and perform requirement validation and defect triage.
- Act as liaison between business users and technical teams.
- Conduct project status meetings and requirement walkthroughs.
- Present findings, recommendations, and business cases to senior stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 years of Business Analyst experience.
- At least 3 to 5 years of insurance industry experience.
- Experience with large-scale application development or enhancement projects.
- Experience in Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL expertise.
- Knowledge of stored procedures, packages, triggers, and views.
- Understanding of Java/J2EE applications, REST APIs, and system integrations.
- Experience with data mapping and data analysis.
- Experience with SQL Server Database, SQL Developer or TOAD, and JIRA.
