About the Role

- Operate the school bus in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to traffic laws and regulations
- Ensure the safety of students during transit, including the use of seat belts and other safety measures
- Follow designated bus routes and schedules to pick up and drop off students at assigned locations
- Perform routine pre trip and post trip inspections of the school bus
- Report any mechanical issues or concerns promptly to the transportation coordinator
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus and enforce bus rules
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including evacuations and first aid if necessary
- Keep accurate records of daily routes, mileage, and any incidents
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to students, parents, and school staff
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- Completion of a school bus driver training program
- 1 3 years experience with at least 1 2 years as a school bus driver

Educational Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Completion of a school bus driver training program.
Experience
- With 1 3 years experience with at least 1 2 year of experience as a school bus driver.
