About the Role
CDM Smith is seeking a BIM / Structural CAD professional to prepare engineering and construction drawings using CADD applications. The role involves creating general arrangement drawings, layouts, and conceptual drawings, as well as performing technical support tasks.

- Prepare routine to moderately complex engineering and construction drawings including general arrangement drawings, overall layouts, and conceptual drawings.
- Perform related CADD/technical support tasks such as plotting drawings, preparing transmittals, file management, and distributing drawings.
- Perform basic discipline design tasks as directed to supplement CADD assignments.
- Utilize information from vendor prints, catalogs, and technical manuals in preparation of construction drawings.
- Support field assignments as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and/or 3D drafting
- 3 years of related experience
- Working knowledge of core CADD applications (AutoCAD, Revit, and/or MicroStation)
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to be a team player
- Experience using basic Microsoft Office for design related tasks

Job Description

- Performs related fundamental CADD/technical support tasks such as plotting drawings, preparing transmittals, file management, and distributing drawings.
- Performs basic discipline design tasks as directed to supplement CADD assignments.
- Utilizes information from vendor prints, catalogs, technical manuals in preparation of construction drawings.
- Supports field assignments as required.
Skills & Abilities
- Good communication skills and attention to detail required.
- Ability to be a team player.
- Working knowledge of core CADD applications (AutoCAD, Revit, and/or MicroStation).
- Experience using basic Microsoft Office for design related tasks primarily within the CADD environment.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and/or 3D drafting.
- 3 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

- Background check and drug testing may be conducted for designated positions.
