Role Overview
Provide group benefits consulting support across plan design, financial management, client servicing, and new business opportunities.
Work with internal consulting teams, vendors, carriers, producers, underwriters, and clients while maintaining quality standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Support group medical, dental, life, disability, and special risk benefits design and management.
- Analyze annual renewals, negotiate with carriers, and prepare client reports and presentations.
- Prepare experience reports, budget projections, financial performance reviews, marketing reports, and cost comparisons.
- Gather data to determine the cost impact of plan design changes and conduct benchmarking studies.
- Review contracts, booklets, collective agreements, amendments, and other benefits documentation for accuracy.
- Prepare new sales submissions, monitor implementation processes, and resolve claims and coverage issues.
New Business and Proposal Work
- Market new group benefits opportunities to multiple insurance carriers and analyze proposals for plan alignment and pricing accuracy.
- Prepare client-ready proposal presentations, contribution models, cost comparisons, and side-by-side carrier comparisons.
- Coordinate with carrier marketing representatives and underwriters on rates, plan adjustments, exceptions, quotes, and deadlines.
