Role overview
The Benefits Analyst provides group benefits consulting support for clients and prospects.
The role works with internal consulting teams and vendors, supports client deliverables, and helps ensure quality standards are met.
Core responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and management of group medical, dental, life, disability, and special risk benefits.
- Perform annual renewal analysis and negotiations with carriers.
- Prepare client reports and presentations.
- Complete experience reporting and budget projections.
- Review plan financial performance and financial statements for accuracy and adherence to underwriting agreements.
- Gather data and determine the cost impact of plan design changes.
- Prepare marketing specifications, analyses, cost comparisons, recommendations, and marketing reports.
- Support client presentations and meetings with the consulting team.
- Participate in industry conferences and seminars to keep current with industry trends.
- Build relationships with clients, carriers, vendors, and internal cross-functional teams.
- Help ensure client deliverables meet quality standards.
Required qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, mathematics, or a related discipline.
